Kemba Walker to have knee surgery
Jan 27, 2015 - 12:28 AM Charlotte, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Charlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walker will have surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee, the team announced Monday.Walker, who is scheduled to undergo the procedure Wednesday in New York, had missed three of the last five games with a cyst on the knee.
A timetable for Walker's recovery will be determined following the surgery.
The fourth-year UConn product is averaging 18.8 points, 5.2 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game so far this season.
Brian Roberts will start at point guard during Walkers absence.
