Mavericks conclude homestand vs. Raptors

Feb 24, 2015 - 3:05 PM (SportsNetwork.com) - The Dallas Mavericks will put the finishing touches on a three-game homestand Tuesday versus the Toronto Raptors.

Dallas has defeated Houston and Charlotte on the residency and recorded a 92-81 victory over the Hornets on Sunday, as Monta Ellis scored 15 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter and Richard Jefferson posted a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Jefferson was filling in for the injured Chandler Parsons (left ankle), and Amar'e Stoudemire added 14 points off the bench in his Dallas debut.

"Coach has put me in some plays that have really put us in a position to drive, and that's what we're trying to focus on," Jefferson said following Dallas' eighth win in the past 11 tries.

Dallas is 19-5 against the Eastern Conference this season.

The Mavs are unbeaten in their last three home games and have a 19-9 mark at American Airlines Center. They will visit the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.

Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle is three wins shy of matching Dick Motta (329) for second on the franchise's all-time list. Don Nelson is first with 339 victories.

Toronto will close out a four-game road trip Tuesday and is 1-2 on the trek.

The Raptors suffered their second loss in a row after winning four straight with Monday's 100-97 setback in New Orleans. Kyle Lowry led the visitors with 22 points, Jonas Valanciunas contributed 17 points and 14 rebounds, and James Johnson netted 15 points.

New Orleans recorded a 33-23 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter.

"They played harder than us," Lowry said of the second half.

Toronto is 16-10 away from home and the Atlantic Division leaders will host Golden State Friday night at Air Canada Centre.

Raptors forward Patrick Patterson (knee) is doubtful against the Mavs.

Dallas defeated Toronto, 106-102, on Nov. 28 north of the border and Ellis scored 15 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter. Lowry had 25 points in that one for the Raptors, who had won the previous three games in this series.

The Mavericks are 15-6 in the past 21 matchups with the Raptors.
