Bucks may unveil MCW against Sixers

Feb 25, 2015 - 3:13 PM (SportsNetwork.com) - Reigning NBA Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks less than a week ago.

Carter-Williams will get a chance for revenge against his former employer when the Philadelphia 76ers visit the Bradley Center Wednesday night.

The Bucks have yet to unveil their newest acquisition and hope to unleash Carter-Williams on the Sixers Wednesday night. MCW has been bothered by a toe issue and is questionable Wednesday. He is averaging 15.0 points, 7.4 assists and 6.2 rebounds this season.

Milwaukee has lost two in a row after winning four straight and nine of 10 games, and suffered an 87-71 loss at Chicago on Monday. Khris Middleton led the visitors with 17 points, Ersan Ilyasova added 15 and 11 rebounds, and Giannis Antetokounmpo ended with 11 points in defeat.

Chicago held the Bucks to 33.7 percent shooting and had a 62-41 rebounding advantage.

"It was not a hot shooting performance by either team," said Bucks coach Jason Kidd. "We had some great looks that just didn't go down for us."

The Bucks, who have a 7-1 record in their last eight home tilts, are 16-11 at the Bradley Center and will start a four-game western trip Friday against the LA Lakers, Utah, Denver and Golden State.

Philadelphia is mired in a 10-game road losing streak and will wrap up a three-game trip Wednesday in Brew City.

The 76ers lost a two-game tour through the Sunshine State, losing at Orlando on Sunday and dropping a 119-108 decision in Miami Monday night. Hollis Thompson buried 6-of-9 3-pointers and led the Sixers with 22 points versus the Heat.

Nerlens Noel had 18 and Robert Covington ended with 16 points for Philadelphia, which has lost four in a row overall and 13 of 17 games.

"You're not beating anyone giving up 120 points," 76ers coach Brett Brown said. "When you go back and look at the transition mistakes and the (poor coverage) on 3-pointers, we can teach better."

Philadelphia missed 13 of its 28 free throw attempts and was outrebounded, 45-33.

The Sixers are only 5-24 on the road and lost 13 straight road games twice last season. They haven't posted a winning road mark since going 23-18 in 2002-03.

After visiting the Bucks, Philly will host Washington Friday night.

Milwaukee has beaten Philadelphia twice already this season and the two teams will meet again April 13 in the City of Brotherly Love. The Bucks have won four straight and seven of the last nine games in this series.
