Wiggins, Smart named Rookies of the Month
Mar 5, 2015 - 1:05 AM New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Guards Andrew Wiggins of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Marcus Smart of the Boston Celtics were named Wednesday as the Rookies of the Month for February.Wiggins, the No. 1 overall draft pick, won the Western Conference honor for the fourth consecutive month after averaging 16.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 38.7 minutes in 11 games during February.
Smart won the Eastern Conference award for the first time behind averages of 9.8 points, 4.3 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 32.6 minutes over 11 games.
