Cavs' Perkins involved in altercation with his wife
May 13, 2015 - 7:10 PM Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Cleveland Cavaliers center Kendrick Perkins was involved in a roadside incident with his wife near their home in Westlake, Ohio, on Wednesday morning.According to multiple reports, a 911 caller reported an altercation, saying a woman appeared to be hitting Perkins in a parked car.
Both Kendrick and his wife, Vanity, claimed it was a verbal altercation.
No one was injured or arrested, but a police report will be reviewed by the Westlake City prosecutor.
The Cavaliers said that they were aware of the incident.
"We have spoken to Kendrick about this and understand he has cooperated fully with the authorities in their review of the situation and will continue to do so," the team said. "We respect the process that the Westlake authorities will undergo in relation to this and have no further comment to make about the situation at this time."
Perkins, who signed with the Cavaliers in February, is averaging 1.0 points in five games this postseason.
