Clippers sign free-agent forward Wes Johnson
Jul 9, 2015 - 7:42 PM LOS ANGELES (AP) The Los Angeles Clippers have signed free agent forward Wes Johnson, who played for the Lakers last season.He averaged 9.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 76 games, including 59 starts for the other NBA team that plays in Staples Center.
Johnson's five-year NBA career includes stints with Minnesota and Phoenix.
The Timberwolves drafted him with the fourth pick in the first round of the 2010 draft. He played two years at Iowa State before transferring to Syracuse, where he was the Big East player of the year in his lone season with the Orange.
