Rockets pick up option on Head
Oct 31, 2007 - 7:52 PM HOUSTON (Ticker) - The Houston Rockets on Wednesday picked up their option on third-year guard Luther Head.Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Head averaged 9.8 points and 2.6 assists in 161 games since being drafted by the Rockets out of Illinois in the first round of the 2005 draft.
A specialist from long-range, Head last season recorded the best 3-point field goal percentage in a single season in Rockets history, making 177-of-401 shots (.441). He made a 3-pointer in 37 straight games from November 4 to January 13, also a Houston record.
