AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) - The Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons renew their budding rivalry on Wednesday.
Last season, the Cavaliers knocked off the Pistons in six games to in the Eastern Conference finals.
LeBron James gave the Cavs the edge in the series in a scintillating performance in Game Five here, when he scored 48 points - his team's final 25 - in a 109-107 double-overtime triumph.
James is red-hot entering this contest, averaging 37.3 points, 9.3 assists and 8.7 rebounds over his last six games. The fifth-year phenom scored 11 of his 38 points in overtime and added 13 assists as Cleveland claimed a 109-104 victory over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday for its fourth straight win.
The Pistons are completing a four-game homestand. Detroit is 4-1 overall on its home floor this season.
Detroit's lone home loss came during a 103-93 setback to the Utah Jazz on Sunday. The Pistons had no answer for Carlos Boozer, who scored 36 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
The Pistons were without Rasheed Wallace, who has missed the last two contests with a sore left knee. However, he is expected to return for this contest.
