Georgia Tech upends No. 23 Miami

Jan 29, 2015 - 4:33 AM Coral Gables, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Marcus Georges-Hunt had 24 points and six rebounds and Georgia Tech recorded its first ACC win of the season in a 70-50 rout over Miami-Florida on Wednesday night.

Chris Bolden netted 13 points, while DeMarco Cox added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Yellow Jackets (10-10, 1-7 ACC), who snapped a seven-game losing streak.

Tonye Jekiri posted 13 points and nine boards for Miami (14-6, 4-3), which had won four of its last five games coming in.

After Manu LeComte knocked down a 3-pointer to trim a once 14-point second half deficit to eight, 51-43, with 8:02 left, the Yellow Jackets responded with a game-sealing 19-3 run.

Cox netted the first four points, Georges-Hunt added the next six and Cox capped the surge with a dunk for a 70-46 Georgia Tech advantage with 1:28 to play.

Earlier, the Yellow Jackets raced out to a 20-6 start and led 34-26 at the break.
