Gonzaga routs Pacific

Jan 25, 2015 - 3:29 AM Spokane, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Przemek Karnowski and Gary Bell Jr. each had 13 points to lead No. 3 Gonzaga to a 91-60 rout of Pacific on Saturday.

Silas Melson scored 12 points, while Byron Wesley added 11 points and Domantas Sabonis gave 10 points and eight rebounds for the Bulldogs (20-1, 9-0 WCC), who have ripped off 13 straight wins.

Eric Thompson and T.J. Wallace each scored 12 points for the Tigers (10-11, 2-7), who have lost their past two.

Gonzaga led this game from nearly start to finish, as Kevin Pangos' 3-pointer gave the team a 5-3 lead and started a 10-0 run.

Another 3-pointer from Pangos halfway through the first half extended the lead to 29-14, and the Bulldogs eventually took a 45-27 lead into the locker room.

Any thoughts the Tigers had of a rally in the second half were killed when the Bulldogs went on a 16-0 run to take a 61-28 lead just five minutes into the period.

Gonzaga led by as many as 36 in the easy finish.

Gonzaga shot 60 percent in the game, while Pacific made just 33.3 percent of its attempts ... Gonzaga hosts Portland on Thursday ... The Bulldogs have won six of their seven games against Pacific.
