Wiggins to enter NBA Draft

Mar 31, 2014 - 3:02 PM Lawrence, KS (SportsNetwork.com) - Kansas star Andrew Wiggins is expected to announce his decision to enter the NBA Draft on Monday afternoon.

The university has scheduled a press conference with Wiggins and coach Bill Self to make it official.

Wiggins had virtually revealed his decision to leave following KU's home finale on March 5, saying after the game that he was "sad it's my last time. But I've enjoyed my time here."

The 19-year-old Wiggins could be the top pick in June's draft after a freshman season that featured averages of 17.1 points and 5.9 rebounds in 35 games. His 597 points broke the Kansas freshman record of 589 set last year by Ben McLemore.

Kansas won the Big 12 regular-season title and lost to Iowa State in the conference tournament championship game before exiting the NCAA Tournament with a third-round loss to Stanford.
