Kansas bounces back with win over Texas Tech

Feb 11, 2015 - 4:34 AM Lubbock, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Wayne Selden Jr. made four 3-pointers en route to 16 points in the eighth-ranked Kansas Jayhawks' 73-51 victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Tuesday.

Perry Ellis added 14 points and nine rebounds for the Jayhawks (20-4, 9-2 Big 12), who bounced back from a 67-62 loss at Oklahoma State on Saturday. Brannen Greene, Frank Mason III and Cliff Alexander had 10 points apiece.

Norense Odiase ended with 13 points and eight boards for the Red Raiders (12-13, 2-10), who have lost 12 straight against Kansas. Devaugntah Williams and Zach Smith contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Kansas started the game on a 15-4 run, but Texas Tech fought back to tie things up late in the first half. Selden scored the final five points of the half to put the Jayhawks in front.

Ahead 35-27, Kansas created some distance with an 8-1 spurt. Ellis tallied four points during the flurry to make it 43-28 with 14:37 to play.

The Jayhawks led by as many as 26 down the stretch.
