Baylor rallies past Texas Tech

Mar 7, 2015 - 5:02 AM Waco, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Taurean Prince scored a career-high 24 points and pulled down nine rebounds for the 14th-ranked Baylor Bears, who rallied from a 12-point second-half deficit to beat the Texas Tech Red Raiders by a 77-74 margin.

Kenny Chery and Rico Gathers had 18 points apiece for the Bears (23-8, 11-7 Big 12), who clinched at least the No. 4 seed for the upcoming Big 12 Tournament.

Devaugntah Williams made eight 3-pointers en route to 28 points for the Red Raiders (13-18, 3-15), who finished winless on the road this season. Keenan Evans and Zach Smith contributed 15 and 10 points, respectively.

Trailing 55-46 with 11:29 to play, Baylor went on a 25-10 run to take the lead. Royce O'Neale capped the surge with consecutive 3-pointers to give the Bears a 71-65 edge with 1:40 left.

Baylor went 6-of-6 from the foul line down the stretch to seal the come-from- behind victory.

Texas Tech led 33-32 at the break and started the second half on an 18-7 run. Williams made a trio of 3-pointers during the burst to give the Red Raiders a 51-39 advantage with 13:15 left.
