Paige, North Carolina top BC

Mar 11, 2015 - 9:38 PM Greensboro, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Marcus Paige had 17 points, nine assists and six rebounds as No. 19 North Carolina routed Boston College 81-63 in the second round of the ACC Tournament on Wednesday afternoon.

Brice Johnson posted 17 points and nine rebounds, while Justin Jackson added 12 points for the Tar Heels (22-10), who will play Louisville in the tournament quarterfinals Thursday.

UNC, which played without forward Kennedy Meeks, won its seventh straight meeting against Boston College.

Aaron Brown netted 20 points to lead the Eagles (13-19).

The Tar Heels began to create some distance following a 12-3 run late in the first half. Paige capped the burst with a jumper for a 41-28 cushion.

UNC led 43-30 at the break.

The Eagles hung around for much of the second half until the Tar Heels pulled away late.

North Carolina held a 43-25 rebounding advantage ...Meeks' status for the remainder of the tournament is unknown ... The Tar Heels shot 49.2 percent (32-of-65) from the field.
