Carolina's Meeks questionable for Thursday
Mar 24, 2015 - 2:57 PM Chapel Hill, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - North Carolina basketball coach Roy Williams said forward Kennedy Meeks did not practice Monday because of a sprained knee and might not be available for the Tar Heels' NCAA Tournament game Thursday against Wisconsin.Meeks suffered a sprained left knee during Saturday's game against Arkansas.
Williams, on his radio show Monday night, said doctors haven't ruled Meeks out of the West Region semifinal against the Badgers. However, the coach added that he was not anticipating the sophomore being ready to play.
"I don't think we'll have him, but we'll just have to wait and see," Williams said Monday night.
Meeks is the Tar Heels' third-leading scorer, averaging 11.6 points in 36 games, and the second-leading rebounder at 7.4 per game.
