Nickname: Wildcats.

Coach: Sean Miller.

Conference: Pac-12.

Key returners: Center Kaleb Tarczewski has a chance to become the all-time leader in wins at Arizona after four years as the starter. Sophomore point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright gets his shot at running the team after learning behind point guard T.J. McConnell last season. Shooting guard Elliott Pitts and center Dusan Ristic improved as last season went along and should play bigger roles.

Who left: Stanley Johnson, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and T.J. McConnell are all on NBA rosters, leaving some big shoes to fill. Versatile forward Brandon Ashley also is gone.

The Skinny: The Wildcats may need some time to develop with so many new pieces. Arizona has another talented freshman in guard Allonzo Trier and a group of veteran transfers who should have an immediate impact. Despite losing freshman Ray Smith to a torn ACL in the preseason, Arizona is deep and will contend for a third straight Pac-12 title.
