Krzyzewski: 'Still no timetable' for Jefferson's return
Jan 23, 2016 - 10:50 PM RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) Duke senior Amile Jefferson is progressing with his recovery from an injury to his right foot, though coach Mike Krzyzewski says there's ''still no timetable'' for his return.Jefferson has been out since December, and the 20th-ranked Blue Devils are leaning heavily on a six-man rotation.
Jefferson has shed a protective boot. After Saturday's win at North Carolina State, Krzyzewski said a bone in Jefferson's foot has ''healed pretty well'' and he's now working to ''walk properly'' without the boot or crutches.
Krzyzewski says Jefferson is also doing rehab work in a pool, but added ''I still think it's a while'' before he can return.
Jefferson was the leading returning scorer from last year's NCAA champions. He started the first nine games, averaging 11 points and 10 rebounds.
