No. 14 Vanderbilt goes for eighth straight win

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas (Ticker) - Fresh off its victory over top-ranked Tennessee, No. 14 Vanderbilt puts a seven-game winning streak when it faces Arkansas in a Southeastern Conference game Saturday.

The third-place Commodores (24-4, 9-4 East) are two games behind the first-place Volunteers in the Eastern Division. The Razorbacks (18-9, 7-6) are alone in second place in the West.

Senior swingman Shan Foster leads Vanderbilt at 19.8 points per game and is coming off a 32-point performance against the Volunteers. Freshman center A.J. Ogilvy is averaging 16.6 points for the Commodores, but was held to only four against Tennessee. Vanderbilt is 2-4 in road conference games and 4-4 overall.

Arkansas has lost two straight an dfour of its last five games, including Wednesday's 59-56 setback at Alabama.

The Razorbacks are 5-1 in conference games at home and 13-1 overall.

Senior forward Sonny Weems leads Arkansas at 15.4 points per game. Sophomore guard Patrick Beverley averages 11.2 points and a team-high 6.8 rebounds for the Razorbacks, who lead the all-time series, 13-7.
