NC State outlasts Clemson in OT
Feb 13, 2014 - 10:51 PM Clemson, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Kody Burke led the way with six of her 12 points in overtime, as No. 10 NC State outlasted Clemson, 69-63, on Thursday.Markeisha Gatling posted a game-best 20 points to go with seven rebounds for the Wolfpack (22-3, 9-2 ACC), while Krystal Barrett added 10 with four boards and three assists.
Nikki Dixon totaled 18 points but committed eight turnovers for the Tigers (11-15, 3-9). Quinyotta Pettaway had 17 points and seven rebounds in a losing effort.
Chancie Dunn's bucket with 33 seconds left in regulation tied the game at 56-56, but NC State missed two potential game-winning shots down the stretch.
Burke tallied the first four points of the extra session, then Barrett and Gatling went 4-for-4 from the line sandwiched around another Burke bucket to keep the Wolfpack in front.
