Baylor clinches share of Big 12 crown with win over Iowa State

Mar 5, 2014 - 3:44 AM Ames, IA (SportsNetwork.com) - Nina Davis scored 26 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead No. 9 Baylor to a 70-54 win over Iowa State.

Odyssey Sims scored 11 points and Sune Agbuke had nine points and 11 boards for the Lady Bears (26-4, 16-2 Big 12), who clinched a share of their fourth- straight Big 12 regular season title with the win.

Baylor is tied with West Virginia atop the conference standings, but holds the tiebreaker for the top seed in the upcoming conference tournament.

Nikki Moody paced the Cyclones (20-9, 9-9) with 17 points, five rebounds and five assists and Hallie Christofferson scored 14 in the setback.

ISU trailed by five early in the second half, but the Lady Bears managed to stretch that spread to 12, 47-35, with just over 12 1/2 minutes left.

Baylor's lead swelled to 13 following Davis' jumper nearly five minutes later, and Iowa State was never closer than 11 the rest of the way.
