No. 2 Notre Dame routs Florida State in ACC quarters
Mar 7, 2014 - 10:31 PM Greensboro, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Jewell Loyd had 17 points and the second- ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish beat the Florida State Seminoles by an 83-57 margin on Friday in their Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament debut.Kayla McBride added 13 points for the Fighting Irish (30-0), who are fresh off their first undefeated regular season in program history. Michaela Mabrey and Natalie Achonwa tallied 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Notre Dame, which shot 60.4 percent from the field, will take on North Carolina State in the semifinals on Saturday.
Natasha Howard had 29 points on 14-of-22 shooting for the Seminoles (20-11), who failed to build off a second-round win over Miami-Florida on Thursday.
