Oregon TE Brown suspended for bowl game
Dec 9, 2013 - 10:22 PM Eugene, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich suspended tight end Pharaoh Brown for the upcoming Alamo Bowl after the sophomore starter was caught on video throwing snowballs at several vehicles while they were being driven.According to the Oregonian, there were other Oregon players that also took part in a snowball fight organized by the team on Friday. Sources told the newspaper those players were disciplined internally by the coaching staff but will be able to play in the Dec. 30 Alamo Bowl.
Brown started in five of his nine games played for the Ducks this season and recorded 10 catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
The 10th-ranked Ducks will face Texas in this year's Alamo Bowl, which will be held in San Antonio's Alamodome.
