Kacsor to carry Dayton's fortunes again
Feb 26, 2015 - 4:21 PM Dayton, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Dayton's spring football practices will be condensed to a 12-day period in April. It's not as though the Flyers have to work extensively on the run game.
All-American running back Connor Kacsor decided to return for a fifth year, boosting Dayton's fortunes as it tries to build on an 8-3 record and a tie for second place in the Pioneer Football League.
The 6-foot, 200-pound Kacsor opened last season by rushing for 301 yards against Georgetown and he went on to finish with 1,547 yards and 17 touchdowns on 255 carries, an average of 140.6 yards per game.
Named the PFL's offensive player of the year, Kacsor was a finalist for the Walter Payton Award and a third-team All-American by The Sports Network. He is Dayton's all-time career rushing leader with 2,943 yards.
Kascsor sat out the 2011 season at Dayton. He suffered a knee injury as a high school senior and was redshirted in his first year with the Flyers.
