Incarnate Word seeks improvement in 2015

Feb 27, 2015 - 2:33 PM San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Incarnate Word football program will make a trip to UTEP and play five times at home as part of an 11-game schedule this year.

The Cardinals are in their second season as a Southland Conference member, posting 2-9 overall and 2-6 conference marks last year under coach Larry Kennan.

UIW will kick off the season by hosting Texas A&M-Kingsville on Sept. 5 and serve as the host in four of its nine Southland games, against Nicholls (Sept. 19), Northwestern State (Oct. 3), Abilene Christian (Oct. 24) and Lamar (Nov. 14).

The road portion of UIW's schedule features many of the Southland powers as well as UTEP, which the Cardinals will face on Sept. 26.
