Hampton seeks improvement under Maynor

Mar 23, 2015 - 6:38 PM Hampton, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Hampton will play five times at home as it tries to build off coach Connell Maynor's first season last year.

In an 11-game schedule announced Monday, Hampton will face Kentucky State (Sept. 5) and Richmond (Sept. 12) in non-conference action at Armstrong Stadium and then Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference opponents North Carolina A&T (Oct. 3), Delaware State (Oct. 10, Homecoming) and Florida A&M (Nov. 7).

Hampton's rivalry game against Howard will be played on Sept. 18 at RFK Stadium in Washington.

Last year, the Pirates finished 3-9 in Maynor's first season.
