Grambling State anxious to build on turnaround
Mar 25, 2015 - 7:54 PM Grambling, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - Grambling State will kick off its 2015 schedule with a first-ever matchup at the University of California and play four times at home during an 11-game schedule.Last year, the Tigers improved by six wins to finish 7-5 in coach Broderick Fobbs' first season leading his alma mater.
The Tigers will open the 2015 season at Cal on Sept. 5 and play their home opener a week later on Sept. 12 against Bethune-Cookman.
Grambling also will play at Eddie Robinson Stadium against Southwestern Athletic Conference opponents Alabama A&M (Oct. 10), Mississippi Valley State (Oct. 24) and Texas Southern (Nov. 7).
As part of their nine-game SWAC schedule, the Tigers will visit Alabama State (Sept. 19), Jackson State (Oct. 3), defending champion Alcorn State (Oct. 17) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Nov. 14) as well as face Prairie View A&M (Sept. 25) at the State Fair Classic in Dallas and Southern (Nov. 28) at the Bayou Classic in New Orleans.
