Oklahoma St. wins big with late additions Wudtee, Bundage

Feb 3, 2016 - 10:38 PM STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) Oklahoma State snagged two of its biggest targets late on national signing day.

The Cowboys got the commitment from Keondre Wudtee, a 6-foot-4 dual-threat passer from Parkway High School in Bossier City, Louisiana, on Wednesday morning. He reportedly had offers from TCU, Missouri, Houston, Louisiana Tech and others. Oklahoma State still has starting quarterback Mason Rudolph for at least another year, but backup J.W. Walsh is out of eligibility, so Wudtee adds key depth.

''Keondre Wudtee is a tall, long, very athletic quarterback who can run,'' Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich said. ''He has good straightaway speed. He has tremendous sense of direction for as tall as he is. As big of a frame as he has, he never takes a (big hit), and he does a great job of making people miss with his change of direction.''

A few hours later, Calvin Bundage, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound defensive back, chose the Cowboys over Arizona State, Oklahoma and Arizona.

Despite reaching the Sugar Bowl last season, the Cowboys struggled to run the ball. The Cowboys addressed that concerns by adding seven offensive linemen and two running backs.

The Cowboys signed Tramonda Moore, a 6-foot-5, 350-pound offensive tackle from Oklahoma City John Marshall who is listed as a four-star recruit by Rivals.com and played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Moore still needs to qualify academically, but coach Mike Gundy is confident that Moore will end up with the Cowboys in the fall.

Gundy said two junior college linemen should be able to step in right away. Richards is listed as the No. 17 junior college offensive tackle prospect in the nation by 247sports.com. Williams is ranked as a three-star prospect by 247sports.com.

L.D. Brown, the No. 19 all-purpose back in the nation by Rivals.com, had 969 yards from scrimmage for DeSoto High School in Dallas, Texas. Justice Hill, listed as the top running back in Oklahoma by Scout.com and the nation's No. 20 all-purpose back, ran for 1,948 yards and 32 touchdowns for Tulsa Booker T. Washington last season.

How they'll fit in: Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy filled holes on the offensive line and got a quarterback of the future in Wudtee.
