0 shoutsLANDOVER, Maryland (Ticker) -- No matter who was under center for the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night, they were able to move the ball. For the Washington Redskins, the story was the exact opposite.
All three Jacksonville quarterbacks tossed touchdown passes as the Jaguars closed out the preseason with a 24-3 victory over the Redskins.
The Jaguars scored on three of their first five possessions and had another efficient offensive showing. However, the Redskins' offensive troubles continued. For the third game in a row, their first-team offense failed to reach the end zone.
The Redskins got off to a hot start in August with impressive showings in their first two games. But by the time the fifth game of their preseason schedule rolled around on Thursday, the starters were still trying to work out the kinks.
On the heels of a 47-3 blowout to the Carolina Panthers on August 23, in which the first team failed to score and turned the ball over twice, quarterback Jason Campbell was back in the starting lineup, but things didn't get much better.
Campbell lasted two drives, going 1-for-4 with an interception as the Redskins fell behind early and never caught up.
After linebacker Mike Peterson intercepted Campbell on the Redskins' 21, David Garrard and the Jaguars took advantage six plays later. Garrard found Reggie Williams for a 3-yard touchdown pass to open up the scoring.
Over the last three games, the Redskins' first-team offense has managed just one field goal. It wasn't just the starters, either. The team as a whole managed just 176 yards of total offense and went 1-for-10 on third down Thursday.
Garrard, Cleo Lemon and Todd Bouman combined to complete 21-of-31 passes for 260 yards and four touchdowns.
