Texans ink pair of free agents
Jun 4, 2012 - 8:31 PM Houston, TX (Sports Network) - The Houston Texans signed a pair of free agents on Monday, welcoming cornerback Alan Ball and running back Justin Forsett into the fold.Ball recorded 37 tackles and one interception in 16 games last season for the Cowboys. The Illinois product has totaled 126 tackles, three interceptions and one sack in 60 games over five years with Dallas.
Forsett compiled 145 yards and one score on 46 carries, adding 128 yards on 23 receptions in 16 games for Seattle in 2011.
A California product and central Florida native, the 26-year-old back has posted 1,287 yards and seven scores on 278 attempts, with 730 yards on 97 grabs and one TD in 48 contests over three years with the Seahawks.
Houston also released running back Javarris Williams, who last played in the NFL in 2009 for Kansas City, gaining six yards on four carries in four games.
