Titans ink S Griffin to long-term deal

Jun 19, 2012 - 7:19 PM Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - The Tennessee Titans signed safety Michael Griffin to a multi-year contract on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old Griffin was tagged as the Titans' franchise player back in March.

Last season, the Texas product started all 16 games for the third time in four years while ranking third on the team with 96 tackles.

A two-time Pro Bowl selection, Griffin has recorded 17 interceptions in 80 career games with the Titans, who took him with the 19th overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft.
