Colts sign RB Moore

Jun 19, 2012 - 7:49 PM Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - The Indianapolis Colts announced Tuesday the signing of free agent running back Mewelde Moore.

Moore spent the last four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers as a backup and recorded 157 yards on 22 carries in 2011. His best year came in his first with Pittsburgh -- 2008 -- when he ran for 588 yards and five touchdowns.

In an eight-year career with the Steelers and Vikings, Moore has 2,247 rushing yards, 1,875 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns.

The team also announced the release of quarterback David Legree.
