Redskins sign Robert Griffin III
Jul 18, 2012 - 12:46 PM Ashburn, VA (Sports Network) - The Washington Redskins signed quarterback Robert Griffin III on Wednesday.The four-year deal is reportedly worth about $21 million, fully guaranteed.
Griffin said the following on his Twitter account: "Well people....It's Time to go to Work!!! Off the unemployment line and oh yea HTTR!!!!"
The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback from Baylor was picked by the Redskins with the second overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
Griffin passed for 4,293 yards and 37 touchdowns against just six interceptions Baylor in 2011. He also rushed for 699 yards and 10 scores.
