Colts sign DT Shirley

Jul 19, 2012 - 6:25 PM Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - The Indianapolis Colts signed defensive tackle Jason Shirley on Thursday.

Shirley appeared in the final four games last year for the Carolina Panthers after being released from the Seattle Seahawks, recording four tackles, 2 1/2 sacks and a forced fumble.

A fifth-round draft pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2008, Shirley has totaled eight tackles and 2 1/2 sacks in seven career games with the Bengals and Panthers.
