Longtime Vikings GM Lynn dies
Jul 22, 2012 - 12:47 AM Eden Prairie, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Vikings confirmed Saturday that longtime general manager Mike Lynn has died."The Vikings are deeply saddened by the passing of Mike Lynn," the team said in a statement. "He was instrumental in the success of the Vikings for many years. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Lynn family in this difficult time."
Lynn, 76, had been living near Memphis and was reportedly in failing health, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. He was GM of the Vikings from 1975 through 1990.
