Patriots release Fanene
Aug 21, 2012 - 8:17 PM Foxboro, MA (Sports Network) - The New England Patriots released defensive lineman Jonathan Fanene on Tuesday.Fanene, 30, had spent each of his prior seven NFL seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He recorded 24 tackles and 6 1/2 sacks in 16 games -- two starts -- last season.
He's tallied 103 tackles, 13 1/2 sacks and one interception over the course of his career.
In addition, New England also released offensive lineman Kyle Hill and kicker Chris Koepplin.
