Rams release S Mikell
Mar 11, 2013 - 9:36 PM St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - The St. Louis Rams released safety Quintin Mikell and re-signed defensive tackle Jermelle Cudjo to a two-year contract on Monday.Mikell, who signed a four-year deal with the Rams in 2011, was scheduled to make $6 million in 2013. The move saves the Rams $3 million in cap space.
The 32-year-old Mikell played in 32 games for St. Louis, recording 192 tackles, four sacks and a pair of interceptions. Prior to joining the Rams, he spent eight seasons with the Eagles.
Cudjo has played in 25 games since joining St. Louis as an undrafted rookie out of Central Oklahoma in 2010. He has 34 tackles and 1 1/2 sacks during that span.
