Jets sign CB Patterson

Apr 1, 2014 - 10:58 PM Florham Park, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Jets added cornerback Dimitri Patterson Tuesday during a busy day for the team in free agency.

The move came a few hours after the Jets agreed to terms with former Raiders wide receiver/return specialist Jacoby Ford.

In Patterson, New York gets an experienced defender who has started 20 games with three different teams (Philadelphia, Cleveland, Miami) over the past four seasons. The 30-year-old was limited to just six games with the Dolphins in 2013 due to injuries, but still recorded four interceptions along with six pass breakups and 19 tackles.

Patterson joins former first-round picks Dee Milliner and Kyle Wilson at the cornerback position for the Jets, who released three-time Pro Bowl honoree Antonio Cromartie last month.
