Cardinals ink trio of draft picks
May 15, 2014 - 11:08 PM Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Arizona Cardinals signed a trio of draft picks to four-year contracts on Thursday.They inked Notre Dame tight end and second-round selection Troy Niklas, and a pair of third-round picks, North Carolina defensive end Kareem Martin and Pittsburgh State wide receiver John Brown.
Niklas was a semifinalist for the Mackey Award, finishing with 32 catches for 498 yards and five touchdowns while Martin tallied 11 1/2 sacks to go with 82 tackles.
Brown set Pittsburgh State school records with 185 receptions for 3,387 yards and 34 touchdowns while starting 34 of 36 games played over three seasons.
