Jets ink first-round pick Pryor
Jun 2, 2014 - 8:33 PM Florham Park, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Jets announced Monday that they have come to terms with safety Calvin Pryor, the team's first-round selection in last month's NFL Draft.Pryor, the No. 18 overall pick, was a three-year starter at Louisville and earned first team All-American Athletic Conference honors this past season after tallying 75 tackles and three interceptions to help the Cardinals to a 12-1 overall record.
The hard-hitting 21-year-old became the ninth first-round choice in Louisville history and the program's highest pick since defensive tackle Amobi Okoye was taken 10th overall by the Houston Texans in 2007.
Pryor totaled 218 tackles, seven interceptions and 14 passes defensed over 39 career games with the Cardinals.
The Jets have now signed all but one of their 12-member 2014 draft class, with cornerback Dexter McDougle (third round) the only player yet to agree to a deal.
No one has shouted yet.
