Redskins' Jackson suspended again
Jul 9, 2014 - 10:13 PM Ashburn, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - The National Football League has suspended Washington Redskins safety Tanard Jackson for a substance abuse violation for the fourth time in his career.Jackson, who has not appeared in a game since 2011, had sat out the past two seasons under similar conditions prior to being reinstated in May. He has yet to play for the Redskins since originally signing with the club in April of 2012.
The 28-year-old's current ban will begin immediately and runs indefinitely.
Jackson's first suspension, a four-game penalty, came in 2009 while then with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was then forced to miss the final 14 games of the 2010 campaign for a repeat violation, but returned to start 10 games for the Bucs the following season.
