Jets get to 75-man limit

Aug 24, 2014 - 4:27 PM Florham Park, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Jets released six players on Sunday, including wide receiver Jacoby Ford and cornerback Ras-I Dowling.

Ford joined the Jets on April 1 following four seasons with the Raiders. He caught 57 passes for 848 yards and three touchdowns in 38 career games with Oakland.

The 27-year-old speedster also returned 75 kickoffs for the Raiders for a 25.0-yard average and four touchdowns.

Dowling was New England's second-round pick in 2011 and played in nine games for the Patriots before being cut before the 2013 season. The Jets signed him to their practice squad last October.

The Jets also released wide receiver Michael Campbell, tight end Colin Anderson, fullback Chad Young and defensive end Anthony Grady to reach the NFL's 75-player roster limit.
