Cardinals release K Feely

Aug 25, 2014 - 5:01 PM Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Arizona Cardinals released 13 players on Monday, the most notable among them kicker Jay Feely.

Feely, a free agent at last season's end, had been re-signed by Arizona back in March. He totaled 127 points this past season, the third-highest total of his career, going 30-of-36 on field goal attempts and making all 37 of his point-after tries.

Among active kickers, Feely ranks fifth overall with 329 field goals made in 398 attempts, an 82.7 percent success rate.

Arizona also excised linebackers Keenan Clayton, Jojo Dickson and Derrell Johnson, center Tom Draheim, wide receivers Reggie Dunn and Kevin Ozier, safety Orhian Johnson, quarterback Ryan Lindley, defensive tackle Justin Renfrow, cornerback Brandon Sermons, tackle Max Starks and running back Damien Thigpen.

With the cuts, the Cards have narrowed their roster to the 75-man limit which all teams must reach by Tuesday afternoon.
