Buccaneers release S Wright among final cuts
Aug 30, 2014 - 11:39 PM Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made its final eight roster moves on Saturday to reach the 53-man roster limit by cutting safety Major Wright and wide receiver Solomon Patton among others.Wright had 100 tackles, two interceptions and two forced fumbles while starting all 15 games he played last season, his fourth with the Chicago Bears.
Patton was a rookie return specialist out of Florida. He averaged 27 yards in eight kickoff returns during the preseason.
Tampa Bay also released defensive tackle Ronald Talley and waived running back Jeff Demps, linebacker Brandon Magee, defensive tackle Matthew Masifilo, tight end Cameron Brate and quarterback Mike Kafka.
