NFL owners approve sale of Bills

Oct 8, 2014 - 5:02 PM New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - NFL owners have unanimously approved the sale of the Buffalo Bills.

The Wilson family trust reached an agreement to sell the franchise to Terry and Kim Pegula back in September. The Pegulas also own the NHL's Buffalo Sabres.

Reports last month indicated the purchase price to be in the neighborhood of $1.4 billion.

The Pegulas will become just the second owners of the Bills, who were founded by Ralph Wilson Jr. as a charter member of the American Football League in 1960.

Wilson died in March at the age of 95 and the family put the club up for sale.
