Buccaneers trade Barron to Rams

Oct 28, 2014 - 9:04 PM Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have dealt third-year safety Mark Barron to the St. Louis Rams prior to Tuesday's trade deadline.

There were rumors of the 1-6 Bucs being active at the deadline, and while no blockbusters came to fruition, they did send Barron to the Rams in exchange for picks in the 2015 draft, which NFL.com reported to be a fourth and sixth-round selection.

Tampa Bay also traded linebacker Jonathan Casillas to New England on Tuesday for a reported fifth-round choice in next year's draft.

Barron, the seventh overall pick of the 2012 draft, has recorded 49 tackles in seven games this year after totaling 88 each of his first two seasons. The Alabama product has recorded three career interceptions.
