Pats re-sign DL Branch, add CBs Fletcher, McClain
Mar 18, 2015 - 10:02 PM Foxborough, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New England Patriots re-signed defensive lineman Alan Branch on Wednesday and signed free-agent cornerbacks Bradley Fletcher and Robert McClain.Branch, 30, had 13 tackles in eight games for the Patriots last season, including two starts. The eight-year NFL veteran has also played for Buffalo, Seattle and Arizona.
Fletcher, 28, spent the last two seasons with Philadelphia after playing his first four years in the NFL with St. Louis. He posted 61 tackles and one interception in 15 starts for the Eagles in 2014.
McClain, 26, appeared in at least 15 games in each of his three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and also has played for Jacksonville and Carolina in a five-year NFL career. He had 60 tackles, two interceptions and one sack in 16 games last season.
The Patriots lost star cornerback Darrelle Revis, who signed with the New York Jets last week after one season with New England.
