Report: Saints LB Galette has pectoral injury
Jun 4, 2015 - 11:38 PM (SportsNetwork.com) - New Orleans Saints outside linebacker Junior Galette suffered a pectoral injury and is considering surgery, according to a report from Fox Sports on Thursday.Galette was absent from the team's optional OTA workout on Thursday. The report said it was uncertain how Galette suffered the injury.
Players who undergo surgery for pectoral injuries are usually sidelined for an average of 5-to-6 months.
Galette has spent five seasons with the Saints since signing as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He has 22 sacks over the last two seasons.
The 27-year-old signed a four-year, $41.5 million contract extension before last season.
