Saints sign 2nd-round draft pick Vonn Bell

(AP) Saints general manager Mickey Loomis says rookie safety Vonn Bell, whom New Orleans selected in the second round of this year's NFL draft, has signed a four-year contract.Bell was the Saints' latter of two second-round picks, taken 61st overall out of Ohio State.
The 5-foot-11 inch, 199-pound Bell was a consensus All-American and Jim Thorpe Award semifinalist last season.
He played three seasons for the Buckeyes, compiling 176 tackles, a sack, nine interceptions, 24 passes defended and two fumble recoveries during his career.
Earlier this week, New Orleans signed its first-round pick, defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins; its second-round pick, receiver Michael Thomas; and seventh-round choice, running back Daniel Lasco.
Of New Orleans' five 2016 draft picks, only defensive tackle David Onyemata, a fifth-round pick, remains unsigned.
