O'Sullivan, Eakin lead Galaxy to World Bowl berth

Jun 16, 2007 - 8:28 PM FRANKFURT, Germany (Ticker) -- Thanks to J.T. O'Sullivan and Kevin Eakin, the Frankfurt Galaxy are heading back to a familiar place.

O'Sullivan and Eakin combined for 286 passing yards and three touchdowns as the Galaxy clinched their record eighth World Bowl appearance Saturday with a 31-14 triumph over the Cologne Centurions.

Aaron Hosack had a pair of touchdown receptions for the reigning champion Galaxy, who will take on the Hamburg Sea Devils in World Bowl XV on June 23.

Eakin, who went 7-of-9 for 80 yards, gave Frankfurt a 10-0 lead in the second quarter with a 12-yard scoring strike to Hosack. O'Sullivan hooked up with Hosack for another 12-yard TD early in the third, giving the Galaxy (7-3) a 24-0 cushion.

O'Sullivan helped set up Hosack's second touchdown with a 38-yard completion to James Petrowski, who also hauled in a 17-yard TD pass from Eakin just before halftime and finished with 127 yards receiving. Allocated by the NFL's Chicago Bears, O'Sullivan was 14-of-19 for 206 yards overall.

Rhys Lloyd kicked field goals of 28, 21 and 50 yards for Frankfurt.

Erik Meyer threw a nine-yard touchdown pass to Bobby Blizzard and Derrick Ross - who gained 109 yards on 19 carries - ran for a five-yard score for the Centurions (6-4).
