Predators skate past Canucks

Nov 3, 2014 - 7:03 AM Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - Filip Forsberg scored twice and the Nashville Predators defeated the Vancouver Canucks 3-1 on Sunday night.

Colin Wilson posted the other tally for the Predators, who have won four of their last four games. Pekka Rinne made 26 saves in the triumph.

Alex Edler had the lone goal for Vancouver, which had its four-game winning streak snapped. Eddie Lack stopped 30 shots in defeat.

"We had some chances, just didn't shoot the puck," Canucks coach Willie Desjardins said.

The game was tied 1-1 before the Predators scored twice in the third.

Forsberg began the scoring in the third after James Neal drove the right wing and lost control of the puck, but Forsberg was in front to put it home at the 6:42 mark.

Wilson rose a shot over Lack's shoulder from below the left circle with 1:33 left to add insurance.

Edler's blast from the point on the power play midway through the first started the scoring before Forsberg's first marker early in the second tied it.
